Who we are
PartyPop AI creates personalized party games that hosts build and guests play on their own phones. PartyPop AI is operated by Kate Savage Hart, the seller identified in our Terms of Service and the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Contact: support@partypop.ai
What personal data we collect
- Host account data. Email address and sign-in metadata (magic-link timestamps, session identifiers) so you can return to your parties.
- Party content. The occasion, guest-of-honor name, milestone, tone and the facts you type in, plus the questions generated from them.
- Guest data. The nickname a guest types when joining, their answers and their score. Guests never create an account and we never ask them for an email address.
- Technical data. IP address, device and browser information, error reports and basic usage/telemetry generated when you use the site.
- Support messages. Anything you send us by email.
- Purchase records. Which party pass was bought, the amount, the transaction reference and its status. Card and billing details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by us — see “Payments” below.
Why we collect it and our legal basis
- Performance of a contract: creating your account, generating your game, running the live room, keeping scores and unlocking a paid party.
- Legitimate interests: keeping the service secure, preventing fraud and abuse, fixing errors and improving the product.
- Legal obligation: keeping records required for tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests.
- Consent: any optional marketing email, which you can withdraw at any time.
Payments and Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and is the party that collects and processes payment information, performs payment and fraud checks, calculates and remits sales tax/VAT, issues invoices, and handles refunds, chargebacks and related customer service inquiries. Paddle processes that payment data as a controller in its own right under its own privacy notice. We receive only a confirmation of the transaction (reference, amount, status and the party it unlocks) — we never see or store card numbers.
How we share data
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers/subprocessors who process data on our behalf: our hosting, database and authentication provider, and our AI provider.
- Paddle, as Merchant of Record, for the sale of the product, payments, tax compliance, invoicing and refunds.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use guest answers for advertising.
AI generation
The facts you enter are sent to our AI provider to write the questions for your party. Only enter details you are comfortable sharing with your guests.
Storage, transfers and retention
Data is stored on our hosting provider’s managed infrastructure and may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK/EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision. Party and guest data is kept while your account is active so you can revisit results; purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting (normally up to 7 years). Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest on our managed database, row-level access rules so hosts and guests can only reach their own party data, private host and guest keys instead of public identifiers, restricted administrative access, and server-side handling of all API keys and payment logic.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of or objection to processing, portability of data you provided, and withdrawal of consent. Email support@partypop.ai and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK/EEA you may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember the party you are hosting. Paddle sets cookies necessary for checkout and fraud prevention. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though sign-in and hosting will stop working.
Children
PartyPop AI is intended for adults who host parties. Hosts are responsible for the content they enter and for any children playing as guests.
